What do people reccommend as a good palate cleanser when sampling large amounts of chocolate?
Salty stuff eg chips?
Acid/sour stuff?
Other suggestions?
We have about 20 people booked for the chocolate tasting evening... and still a couple more days to go.
Ever gotten the opportunity to spend $80+ purely on chocolate at one time...?

A crisp white wine, perhaps?

It's probably no good for cleansing your palate, but chippies just taste so good after chocolate. I wish Schoc would bring back the sea salt and dark...

Fruit, personally. Slight acid tang helps, and does the liquid. Mint just interferes, and salt doesn't seem to clear so much as add to the mix.

[Strawberries seemed to work particularly well, but otherwise apple]

I'm with theuns on the fruit thing. My preferences are grapes and mandarins.

I recall lemon slices were a vast help the time I did Death By Chocolate...
