A quiet Easter
Apr. 25th, 2011 11:08 pmThere was a small local medieval camp that we went to, and it was fun and good, but everyone looked at the weather forecast and decided to pack up on Sun, rather than wait for things to get soggier on Mon.
So Mon has been spent drying tents, attempting to tidy (Z has a good book or three, so requires a crow bar to be reminded to do stuff), working my way through a stack of old Listener Quiz crosswords, and attempting to use circular knitting needles. Round 1 failed - wool too fine for needle size, but round 2 appears to be making a basic hat ok. The longer term goal is to be able to knit socks. I have also started a naalbinded pair of socks for Z - attempting the working on a pair at once, alternating, which seems to help a bit. However am currently distracted by the knitting.
But back to work tomorrow, so wont be able to be distracted by anything...
