The world is very quiet at the momment and currently dominated by snot production and assembling uncertainties for abundances with some actual scientific justification - mind you, I have only been out by 0.01-0.02 so far so my guestimates weren't bad. Interesting range of reactions from people back at work. Will go in tommorrow and polish off the second star. Fingers crossed the N abundance doesn't go down as much as it did on the other one, though part of that was me not typing the correct number - it's nice to actually catch these sorts of things yourself.

And my office had already been loaned to someone else :(, so I was stuck in the windowless bowels. Less distracted by parrots, but... Also since it was a shared computer area, had to consistantly remind myself not to hum along to whatever popped into my head*. Lapsed a bit around 4pm and some piece of music that now completely escapes me kept popping out. Oh well, brain has now moved onto Halleluyah - which I don't have a copy of and so can't get out of my head...

Now fingers crossed Z isn't coming down with another lurgy.
Early night time I think.

* A habit which was bad while at Uni doing PhD, but was great while observing during said PhD because with noone else in the building with the telescope, you could sing (along) loudly and enthusiastically. The stars weren't exactly going to complain. And the possums deserved what they got. Besides, some of the coridors had great accoustics.
