Keep an eye out for major astronomy news in the next day or two. Should turn up in Nature and then the rest of the press after 5AM, THURSDAY 26 JANUARY 2006 AEST. There are some Kiwis as well as Aussies involved so it should make it into the NZ papers...

Date: 2006-01-26 12:09 am (UTC)Interesting to see the Herald article take on that one. Suprised they are not making more of the other Kiwi authors on the paper (about 6 or 7 from the MOA colaboration based down at Mt John), but then they only got some of the data.
BBC talks to the people in Britain (though Nick Rattenbury is a Kiwi who was working with MOA at Mt John for the first year of my thesis - had wondered where he was now).
Will have to check the SMH to see whether they focus on Penny Sackett (Stromlo), the tasmanians, or the people from Perth...
