Yay loom!

Weekend has been spent decanting stuff from Mum and Dad's (car loads full of wood and other stuff) and general stuff stowage*. And laundry in amongst rainy periods - yesterday was wet to start, nice and sunny and warm in the middle, then went grey and rainy again. Today was more grey with occasional rain.

But having retrieved the right bits, I have now set up the warp weighted loom again (yay space), and gotten back to the fabric started at CF. The sheet bundling worked far better this time and more time was spent finding the arm bits the heddle rests on than detangling to setting up (a major improvement on the tangles I got when working on the leg bindings).

Now I just need to remember what sort of rhythms and habits were working best at CF. Regular usage should build up arm muscles a bit more.

Time to start keeping the heat in and start on dinner while Z starts playing with the wood burner. Apparently the door handle has already fallen off and a pair of vice grips have been substituted.

* We have lots of space for putting stuff but need more things to put stuff in/on.

Yay for unpacking (our turn soon) and double yay for smooth set up for your warp weighted loom. Have always wanted one since playing with Amy's at Beorgwic. We should have the space for one soon so I might pester you for a photo of it sometime as well as materials used in its making :)
