Beach beach beach

We went to the beach yesterday. Clear blue skies, warm and sunny, it was perfect. And sod all people too - apparently it's still too cold for Aussies... The water was chilly but nice for wading in. In short, great and we will need to make it to the beach more often.

We also found a nice looking house yesterday. More details to come, should our rental application be successful - application to be faxed in asap. Fingers crossed Z's new work will let him use the fax on Tues - tommorrow being a public holiday. Ah, the joys of forms forms forms - at least they don't want the past 10 years of rental history... Z's job should be a big plus - hope my current lack of one wont be. At least we should sound fairly respectable on paper.

Today's activities have included helping out at an SCA demo at a gaming convention in an old jail, talking, pizza, talking, giggling at History's Worst Jobs (Z was highly critical of the presenter's sheep gutting technique), muttering at the greater teak qualities of the latest TV Sharpe, and embroidery comparisons and discussions.

Tommorrow will include forms, preparations for starting work and hopefully a trip to a local market. But before then, sleep...
