Apr. 26th, 2006 01:44 pmHaving had 15 min soaking in sunlight for lunch*, now have until 2pm (15 min) to play
Z based his doublet on the black velvet trimmed Sture doublet (the one Svantes Sture was stabbed in). Details in Janet Arnold. But if going to play with that, need a good shirt for underneath (yay for a decent blackwork excuse too:).
So, some references and photos:
http://katerina.purplefiles.net/DOCO/Camicia%20research.htm has a picture of the Sture Shirt (apparently only 1 remained). Is quite far down the page.
Dress diary for a very nice replica of the shirt. Includes/links to pictures of the original.
Thorkell now known as Lorenzo as he moved to the later period dark side has some good photos and notes.
And have plenty of linen to make it from...:)
Time up, back to models. The HV 11303 observations appear to have shocks in very aukward places making the models really not behave/converge. Just as well I know the 15K temperatures indicate calculation errors rather than actual stellar interior conditions.
* It is gloriously warm in the sunshine at the momment and definitely more pleasant than my office. Unfortunately the ethernet cable wont stretch out to the steps and the laptop refuses to run the models anyway. And the peach crumble leftovers were nice...
