An afternoon of bureaucracy
Dec. 4th, 2006 05:08 pmRight, 3 hours later, but the car is now registered in the appropriate state and Z and I both have the appropriate temporary licences with the correct ones to come in the post at some point in the next 2 weeks. Was worried I would need to start from scratch ie theory test and all, but learners licence just transfered straight over. Now just need to get back to practice and lessons.
Was hoping to make it to the recycled timber place by 5pm for bookcase pine, but that rolled by while I was getting a photo taken and Z was putting new plates on the car. Oh well, Sat then.
(2 PhDs between us and we still can't spell bureaucracy without a dictionary and some muttering. So who else keeps at least one dictionary by the computer?)
