Christmas is coming up, which means for those going, Canterbury Faire is just around the corner (well, ok, 5 and a bit weeks away) :)
For those interested in blackwork embroidery (follow link to see basic pics of what I am talking about), I will be running a round table discussion session on it at CF as an A&S class. If people interested could bring their pretties - finished examples, works in progress, pretty references (picture or otherwise), that would be greatly appreciated (hence the warning well ahead). I'll bring a copy of Janet Arnold - Patterns of Fashion 4 (the one with the underwear) as well as some other stuff.
I will try and have some introductory kits available for people who wish to have a go (needle, thread, fabric and a pattern) for a gold coin, but it would really help if people could contact me (off list) ahead of CF if they are interested, so I have an idea of how many I should prepare.
I'll try and do another reminder a week or so before CF (closer to when people remember things :) ), but this is while I remember things.
NB: this is a round table discussion, rather than a straight class due to being ~7 months pregnant at the time and being realistic about how much energy I may have for preparation...
