Brain is hurting over trying to deal with normalizing gaussians and convolution (I may have whinged about this before). I do have convolution and it appears to be not be squishing the fuck out of things, but I still don't quite trust it. I think it should have more data points to the curve, but I can't get IDL to agree with me. Sigh...
Weekend was fun, though I think a weekend without going to Sydney, may be a good idea. Ok, so it has only been the past two weekends, but still... I would like to know why on both the occasions that we attempted to travel through the tunnel under Sydney Harbour, we ended up with a slight unplanned detour and a trip over the Harbour Bridge. Still got to the right places but it was a trifle disconcerting.
Have now touched ocean on both sides of the continent:)
