Finished fabric for the shoulder bag. Bit at the base is experimenting with using the same thread as the warp threads to see if the different weight weft made a difference. It didn't... Fabric is now out of a hot wash and drying on a rack.

WRT to the selvage, given the way it ended up warp faced, it couldn't get any tighter, so stayed even by itself. The next piece currently being worked on is being far less even.

The loom was made by one of the local Medieval Living History guys (think Abbotsford style camping, but earlier period). Some photos of an MLH camp here. He made it on request of a couple of members who used it once or twice and got distracted by other things.

The wool is I believe an old carpet wool picked up in an industrial spool size in NZ from the Mary Potter Hospice shop (think Salvos or St Vincent de Paul). Some day I have to get around to learning to spin...
