From History to Her Story: Yorkshire Woman's lives online. 1100 to the present
Saw Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith last night. Was fun. Better than the last two certainly. Unfortunately the presence of wooden acting goes without saying, though you could see the actors playing the bad guys having great fun. At least you did actually give a shit as to what happened to the characters etc, which is a good improvement on Kingdom of Heaven.
Chinese in Dickson afterwards with people was also good, though not from a "work night, therefore early night" point of view.
Home to witness the final stages of stringing up of a warp weighted loom. LOTS of wool for a cloak apparently.
Week and a bit to go to the Blacktown Medieval Fair (?) demo in Sydney. Should be fun. Should check the Saxon style stuff I have. Really need to do a more consistant (late A-S)outfit with more appropriate embroidery etc... Next project, and definitely not something to be crammed into the next week and a half, especially since I need to teach myself the right embroidery stitchs:) Also need to learn how to spin so have a little more of the appropriate domestic skills for the more living history demo end of things. This may end up being part of the demo. Should make it to the Stowe Foole's Feast too...
Following weekend is Feast of Chastity:), then a 4 day trip to WA, discovering the delights of Perth to Meekathara.
Quiet Queen's Birthday, 2 weeks (possibly including Politicopolis 10th Ann), then KWDS. Then things calm down a little... KWW ain't til late August.
