stellar_muddleThe weather gods appear to have heard our posting of house moving stuff and decided to have a giggle. Hence it is pissing down. Which is very good from the watering alpacas and filling my parent's rainwater fed water tanks, but makes the thought of having to move chests less fun.
The looting today was very good in parts and abysmal in others - Upper Hutt was cursed: their recycling center is only open 9am to 1pm on Sats. Evil hours. And the Sallies, Red Cross and Steptoe and Son were all closed as well.
But in the morning we did get to Trash Palace and get a very nice desk and set of drawers (the latter of which Z is currently borer spraying the hell out of, but fingers crossed). And clothes hangers. And the Sallies in Tawa yielded chinese eating bowls, a nice big ceramic mixing bowl and a blue book case. Worst case, tonight ends up being a good social evening with a little stuff shifting from garage to garage.
Nice heavy rain though.
