Ok, ABC Classic FM is currently playing a whistling/synthesizer version of the theme from Star Wars. The twiddly bits and dance beat are scary. And now it has morphed into someone forgetting how to play Fur Elise....
Too early for the website to list what they played and who it was perpetrated by...

And did you know you can get half a ~15 cm seam sewn and flat-felled in the time it takes to generate a model spectrum of a star in one filter region...

Filling in time

Its that "seminar has finished and filling in time before bus on a fri afternoon" time.
So why does the little finger on my left hand get sore after finicky hand sewing? I am right handed... but it is the slightly mutent one...
You will all be happy (or sad) to know that laser ablation of space debris from land based telescopes is unlikely in the near future due to adaptive optics issues (ie keeping a fix on the stuff). Things you learn in seminars. And that big telescopes with laser artificial star systems in their adaptive optics, need satelite avoidance software. Its embarrising to have your satelite detectors (or pilot's eyes) fried with a Na laser... Wonder whose satelite databases they rely on and what the loss rate is on spy satelites which "aren't there".
Hmm, still have lots of sewing to go. Bloody eyelets and hem.
