Jun. 27th, 2005 11:19 amMmmmm - I now have a very large video collection sitting on the sofa (for want of anywhere else to store them at present). Yay all 5 seasons + movies for Babylon 5. NB Yes I know videos are archaic and DVD would be better, but with the entire lot costing less that one season of B5 on DVD, I can upgrade later... There are a lot of B5 medievalist fans out there for some odd reason.
So, the weekend. On and off rain, and not particularly cold. Actually winter like. This place does need rain, even if the laundry doesn't. At least we have more clothes drying racks now (Yay Ausjunk).
Anyway, Politicopolis 10th Anniversary Feast in the evening on Sat, so frantic sewing during the day. Red wool early norman bliaut is now wearable, though it needs about 12 more eyelets put in, and I think does want the embroidered belt. Was just the right temperature for the event, even with lots of standing around outside, which was great. Feast was good, though the venue possibly more suited to about 100 feasters with dancing inside, as opposed to 130(?) in two rooms, with a very confined Newcastle on the deck outside. Lots of people I didn't know, but a growing group that I did. Was good and attended the Baronial Court, but was evil and skived off and talked to people outside and down below during the royal court. Which meant missing out on a couple friends getting AoAs, but as it was a long court... Established the thin leather wrap around shoes I have are not exactly comfortable while wet. Late night.
Sunday was subdued, and spent sleeping (lots of that), sweeping and mopping floors, market shopping, watching TV, shooting kittens out of cannons (very very twisted), remembering to check SHRIMPS a little late (distracted Z) and a rather late night.
Hence, the unusual combination coffee and milo this morning which has finally sunk in. Time to battle (vacuum/air) wavelengths vs (air/vacuum) wavenumbers and play tweak the stellar line parameters.
