So, are you a packrat, and if so, what variety are you? How much of a role does breeding/environment play?

Z and I appear to collect raw materials - me more fabric and textile related stuff with the occasional rock, Z fabric, leather, wood, scrap metal, iron, rocks, well, everything really.
Both of us collect books, though that is a function more akin to breathing.

Of Z's parents, his father collects/saves stuff he might find useful later - raw materials, used materials, you name it... and books. His mother saves things other people might find useful eg baby and children's clothing for the next generation or two... and the occasional (ton of shiny*) rock.

My parents: Dad collects raw materials (wood, some metal, glass house fittings) generally for particular purposes, random things of the sides of the road and beaches ... and rocks and cacti and orchids and some books. Mum is missing the packrat tendency ... apart from books and the occasional rock.

* Z note.

Back to cleaning now.

Craig collects ornamental things - like models etc, and a bit of stuff he might find useful later - generally not raw materials though. I think I'm in the raw materials category. Fabric, leather, etc.
