What bugs me about the ISS is that it's billed (mainly by clueless media) as the "outer space" mission when in fact it's so close to the earth that you can make out roads on the surface. We already knew humans weren't going to the stars any time soon, but this isn't even space travel. It's like a toddler demonstrating his independence by letting go of Mummy's hand for a step or two -- with the difference that most toddlers who let go in 1969 are well past that stage 38 years later, unless... Hey, that's it! NASA: The Disabled Guy In The Wheelchair Is Pretty Proud That He Can Almost Eat Lunch Without Drooling!
I do have to admit that the picture would be a lot nicer if they got rid of the annoying chunk of metal in the foreground - the antenna bit is blocking Mum and Dad's place...
Hmmm yes, NASA... not certain if it would help if they were funded to do what the President wants them to do, let alone the actually interesting stuff.
