3D puzzle time

So, the weekend so far:
Fri: Late evening talking stuff (mainly cats, ferrets and canvas) with people.
Sat: Decided needed chairs etc, so braved the local IKEA... Scary yet only occasionally disturbing at the same time. Far less of the land that taste forgot than I would have expected. Found the fold out wood frame futon/sofa we wanted but only in narrow/single width (they may have stocked double, but a while ago). Then realised that have longer slats at home and woodworking tools... So got 2 - one for immediate usage... Then got 4 wooden dining chairs and various assorted stuff. Late lunch at Brickwork markets, then off to Feast with Thrones. Stinky hot outside, but nice aircon in the hall. Then by the time aircon was turned off for the feast, wind had picked up outside, so you could retreat to the cool outside - 100+ people generate a lot of heat... Lots of people, lots of food, lots of court (but you get that at anniversary events). Would have been nice to have more dancing, but with that much food, energetic dance probably wouldn't have been a good idea. Some very nice garb there. Some "interesting" greens... Another late night.
Sun: No milk crisis. Solved. Thrones dropped off at tourney then headed home for 3D puzzle/IKEA assembly fest. ~2 1/2 hours later, 4 dining chairs, 1 single fold out sofa/bed and 2 lamps assembles. No problems on the chairs, much swearing at the silly plastic nails on bits of the sofabed (2 jammed and will need replacing with superscrews), but other than that, no problems. Will make a cover to protect the lily-white mattress, but given the canvas/fabric collection, not an issue. Need screw in bulb for one lamp.
SO, IKEA: an experiance. Very careful people herding/traffic flow though the showrooms in airconditioned comfort, with actual collection of items left to the ground floor and your written down product coordinates. We didn't brave the cafe and walked quickly past the child minding room filled with balls that you could check them into (the room, not the balls...). Didn't get any of the elderflower cordial, but had gotten that brand before from a Canberra Delicatessen and it was only so so. Not allowing you to take the trolley to the car and having to go and fetch it was odd. Good design of furniture, but construction at the cheap end - mign you, you get what you pay for. Not heirloom quality, but should work for the next couple years. A once a year experiance I think.
