I started reading the Gormenghast trilogy and I think I made it into the second book before I decided I just wasn't getting it :( I was quite disappointed in myself.

I started reading the Gormenghast trilogy but gave up as I found it boring. The author spend too much time on backround detail and discription which mean that the story did not flow.

I beleive I have read up to the end of the second one, but never got around to Titus Alone. Gloriously detailed and utterly depressing. I can't say that I actually enjoyed them.
