You know you have found an interesting series of journal articles when "World Archeology" has an issue on archeometallurgy, followed by one on hoards and hoarding...
I am having a very good binge on JSTOR - it started with googling for the "Senmurv Kaftan" and with the introduction of Uni access to the JSTOR archive and just ran away from there... Pity I have a conference to attend tommorrow, otherwise I might be here a lot longer (though reached the end of the World Archeology collection). 31 articles ranging from archaeomusicology of Scandinavia, to flint butchery, to glass, to the history of York's sewerage system. And we have some nice articles on an extant 8th - 9th century Alanic caftan. And the doll clothing from a similar burial...
Only 98 MB...
Good end to a weekend. Rest of the time spent sorting photos, lamenting the effects of rain on drying laundry and giggling at "V for Vendetta".
Midnight, so sleep now.
