Mmmmmmm mine to drool over - for a little while at least. Don't worry I have a sponge handy and wouldn't dream of getting any on the book.
Looks like a copy from Melbourne - maybe the National Gallery and ANU don't talk, though I thought it would have been closer ie across the lake...
And in case you are wondering, yes I am running a stellar spectrum generation program at the momment, so am technically working and in about 3 min I can legitimately start reading as I run for the bus.

I may not pay attention to much else this evening...

Edit: Ok, not based on the number of other entries I have made this evening. Maybe it is just as well I just finished one project before playing with more types of naalbinding.

The main focus is actually more on Iron age and earlier textiles, with the main Viking stuff being some good images of the textiles from the Mammen Grave. Lots of details on weaves and how to go about them and a large section on naalbinding.
It has some photos and discussion of the Kragelund and Mosselund tunics, but the info appears similar to what you see elsewhere eg Woven into the Earth.
I am starting to think that everyone should go Migration Era and earlier, rather than Viking, cause there is much more extant garments. I think we have the right wool for the checked skirt from Huldremose.
If you are interested, I can pass on a photocopy of the sumary chapter on "Prehistoric costume n Denmark", which sumarises most of the stuff and has pictures of most of the intact garments. Not certain how much of the discussion has dated given the original discussion was written in the 1950s and translated in 1980.
