Giving in now.
Oct. 23rd, 2006 08:03 amTime to give in and get a mobile phone. Avoided it this far, but really need a permanent phone contact number especially with respect to job applications etc. Aren't bothering with a land line at the new place - should be able to cover everything between the wireless broadband connection and a mobile. Also want a mobile phone with a camera since Z is currently off in the middle of nowhere photographing lizards with our digital one and it's his mobile that has a (bad) camera in.. and I saw too much at the Sunnybrae demo that I wanted to photograph to show Z later...
Any suggestions wrt recommendations/pitfalls for such phones in the under $200 price range? Eyeing up this one. Seem the best bang for bucks, so unless I hear horror stories about it, will probably head into town and pick it up before dance tomorrow. Just as well I got the bond refund cheque from the previous place today.
Would have wandered out and bought the phone earlier today, but there was abasal_surge to talk to on Skype and wanted to make the most of that for a few hours...
Besides, his return date and when he needs to go back into the field still hasn't been sorted... No idea if he will be back next week or not.
