Cold out. 3 layers of wool. Annoying borderline zone where it is slightly warmer out than in, but only just and neither is brilliant. Need a nice warm back of neck to defrost fingers on...
NAAMA 2007 may be doable. Will see...
Onto neckline of victorian chemise - sleeves look nice and I ma get around to posting photos at some point.
Z is in the digging old projects stage after I have been glaring at him for channel surfing on both the internet and TV in the evenings when it is too late to thump things. He has dug out the caftan project from ages ago. Going for collar based on the Valsgarde 15 grave (used in the Peter Beatson caftan), though at this stage not embroidered. Anyone know anything more on grave 15? Have found some of the stuff on grave 12 (the other one referenced in that construction) and have the Cecilia Lindblom article wrt to that (from the WCOB list Aug 2004 discussion). Anyone know anything on collars for that time and place? - already have articles on the Alanic caftans.
Think that about covers things for now. Z now back from work and clamouring for food and computer. I have warmer hands though :)
