Odd things for the day...

stellar_muddleI suggested to Z that he try George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire around 10:30pm last night... He stopped reading around 3:30am and has been continuing as solidly as possible ever since. It may be just as well I have book 3 but not book 2, (we have some cleaning etc that needs doing) but apparently I am Evil(TM) for that.
Sunburning the shoulder of the side you sleep on is a really bad idea.. Fri night was ok but last night - ouch. May try for a nap shortly.
Yesterday involved Food festival (nice Argintinian sausage, lemonade, italian gingerbread*, chicken satay sticks, Iraqi Baklava, green tea icecream), Wig and Pen in evening (Weiss beer and raspberry anyone?), and finally saw Serenity. Was good though not the puddlifying oh god not worthy bow at Joss Weedon's feet sort of thing. Start was a bit jarring and you were on a number of occasions left going "Why?", but the rest settled into a very good episode.
*Of which there is still some left:)
