And for a link that isn't medieval...
Nov. 29th, 2005 10:28 amhttp://www.sock-dreams.com/'s thigh high stocking/sock collection. Far more interesting than the usual run of the mill... Some of the labels can be sourced locally ie I have seen them over here and the places which get them in, may be able to order the more interesting ones of the same brand. Don't know if the shipping costs are worth it though.
Curiously it was easy to pick up nice stockings in Germany, from the equivalent of Farmers...
And it is still cold and wet outside, but I have heating now...
And should you ever end up in Queanbeyan, there is a really nice Thai restaurant...
Edit: I really need to track down a good recipe for Thai beef salad... and some of the curries. Less food than equivalent chinese restaurants, so you end up comfortably full rather than bloated, but the flavours... mmmm, the thought of the beef salad still has me drooling. The equivalent salad from the Thai restaurant in Katoomba, Blue Mountains, was even better though. They used medium rare sliced steak...
Edit: This one is also not medieval and definitely for home reading...
http://www.my-secret-life.com: apparently has the full text for all 11 volumes of "My Secret Life", a sexual diary by an anonoymus Victorian gentleman. Some of you may have heard of this. Have read abridged bits previously, so curious about the rest.
