stellar_muddle | Amazing, sometimes complaining works...

While on interminable hold with increadably crappy music (OK, about 10 min), I was going to post a diatribe on Virgin Blue, focusing on their annoying habit of switching Sydney to Christchurch flights to go via Brisbane (2nd time... mutter mutter mutter). However I wont since the nice lady on the phone put us back on a direct flight over on the Tues evening, and got us on a direct flight Chch Sydney on Tues 4 Jan, at no extra charge.. and put up with me complaining about imbedded links in emails which don't give explicit URLs (I can cut and paste those out of Pine, whereas Pine doesn't click, and no I am not just going to follow the magical unknown link, thank you). Annoying they changed things but at least they fixed things. Brisbane does have faster Customs etc than Sydney but that is not enough of an incentive for an extra 4 hours just in planes alone, let alone the extra 3 hours in airports. Just as well I have spare leave though, and a flexable work wrt taking it.
So, an extra day in NZ, at the Christchurch end even...
And I remembered to email out the flatmate wanted advert. We are about to have a room spare...
Diatribe will have to be saved for Rental agencies over here and rental laws such that they can raise the rent after 12 months on a 18 month fixed term lease, rather than at the end of the 18 months. It is only $10 per week, but still.... The facilities and amenities have not changed in that time bar the balcony railing being fixed to be slightly less of a death trap.
But I am hungry.
Lunch then work I think... It was useful procrastination but...
