So, nothing like about onetwo and a half hours of shifting and de-tangling heddle threads (there must be an easier way, apart from using smoother not carpet wool warp threads) and then retying warp weights to the right height, having gotten as low as I could at the previous configuration, to make one question why.

There would follow a whinge about picking projects that take too bloody long and why can't I be better at fast pretty big bang for quick time bucks projects.

But:

I have had a cup of milo, surfed the net a bit, and more importantly enjoyed the top room, which does make a great studio area, as it is light and airy, even on a gloomy grey day like today and has great views out up and down the valley. Not certain which bit of the brain is hardwired to enjoy looking out and surveying the scenery, but definitely works for perking up.

Z is having fun setting up his calligraphy area up there.

The world is better and I may not throw something across the room now. Time to get back to work upstairs - I can now get back to actual weaving.

I hear you :) We're still unpacking so not quite at the stage of retying some brocade work back onto its loom quite yet. A loom the size of yours must be frustratingly slow to resort, or move woven yardage upwards etc.

Funny how many lives are synchronised on the moving and resetting up of projects.
