Preparing for the Non-Academic Interview

But I have a good job now.

And [livejournal.com profile] dragonermine's badge is finished. Just need to photograph it.

And after a bit of undoing and untangling (next time, the clothespeg), more tablet weaving and some to-ing and fro-ing and a bit more swearing when things fell down while I was trying to retie things, onto the second side of the tablet weaving on the pouch. And at collegium, between classes eventually worked out how to do a really nice fingerloop brain drawstring (A lace bend rounde of 8 bowes-C1475, pg 35 Complete Anachronist #108). I was about to get worried that this was too late a combination, but the embroidered band the pouch design is taken from is apparently 14-15th C, so frankly for a first attempt, close enough. Besides, once I actually followed the instructions correctly, it was a gorgeous cord.

And even though it is Sunday, tomorrow it is a holiday. But since Z is giving a talk on 6 panel chests at 10am tomorrow, not one for sleeping in on.

And at least it is no longer sleeting and hailing occasionally. A day of sunshine to sleet in 5 min flat. Often.

And that is enough ands for the evening.

Snap! I finally managed to get the 6 bowe Grene Dorge fingerloop braid into my muscle memory! Lotsa take up though. Half the length of the original bowe, so actually a quarter of the full length originally cut per loop.

You might enjoy the book Tak V Bowes.
