stellar_muddle | All rainy outside, much stuff inside

It is all wet and rainy out. All in all a good excuse to stay inside and sort/clean stuff. Especially since no archery in the rain.

So, the fabric pile of doom in the study which exploded before CF.
Which, if we are sorting and putting away, might as well be checked against the spreadsheet catalogue and make sure things are up to date.

Which is sort of moving into a raw stuff check/inventory, including working out where to put things...

~315m canvas/oilskin (down from ~684m originally).

(fabric - no lengths yet as keep getting distracted by other stuff. There is also the fun of working out how to account for the vast mountain of scrap pieces which are too large to throw away but may be useful someday. Z has started stockpiling for musket cartridge casings/wadding...)

25 functional wooden chests... not including bellows ones (only 3? of which Z didn't make). Z is at the stage where he thinks he might have made possibly 2 of a particular type (recycled kauri) in Adelaide before leaving, but he can't find the second one and is not entirely certain as to whether it definitely existed... It is getting kind of difficult to keep track occasionally. And besides, some of them already have stuff in them.

Did find the bag of cotton perle thread of the right weight to do the coloured bits of the German pouch. But the original was linen for the white bits and silk for the colours. I am currently doing the white in a reasonably fine wool randomly picked up somewhere - not the same as the material in the original, but a period plausible thread type. So, do I do the rest of the coloured bits out of stash thread (but in period inappropriate cotton), or go hunting for (and buying new) silk thread (period appropriate material)?
