It is a quiet sunday afternoon after washing my hair, so naturally my thoughts turn to projects current and future (but mainly future)

Want:
1) Regency era outfit fit for a ball
2) Eying up late 15th C Florentine....
3) New viking apron dress

Issues:
1: Need to find out ball dates. Need to do underwear first. Do have the Simplicity patterns for this, but based on the experience with the Civil War Corset pattern, will need a lot of resizing. Will need to start researching patterns and fabrics for the outer layers.

2: Got distracted by pretty pictures of that for a while (now a 15th C clothing link collection in my bookmarks). Remember Domenico Ghirlandaio - he seems to do a lot of the cool paintings of the time. Wonder if the silk warp linen weft would do nicely for this sort of thing, or some of the finer wools for the undergowns? Need ok camica layer though. Wonder if the blackworked seam one will do. Have to finish it first though. And work out whether I have to make those cutting changes to it. Or possibly learn smocking... But in any case, the blackworked chemise needs to be finished first, which will need the embroidery hoop, which means I need to finish the blackwork which is currently on that. Which should be done in the next 2 weeks maybe...

3: Want one in a good wool, with the appropriately looped shoulder straps and possibly the plaited cord on the seams like the Hedeby(?) fragment (though there it was on a dart). But that will get me back into muttering about apron dress patterns again - something for later.

I think the best plan is to haul up some firewood, get the lounge fire going (that may be entertaining given my anti-pyromaniac tendencies compared to
