Just finished dinner and starting to think about unloading the car*...

And it starts pissing down.

Damn.

Ok, if it is going to rain, can we have thunderstorms? Kapiti iswas forecast for thunderstorms with a warm front and a cold front converging. Can we have a couple? Just one or two? Though they have downgraded the warning over the past few hours...

I miss the Aussie weather radar resolution. Hourly updates really aren't the same when you have gotten used to 10 min ones. But you have to pay for those over here.

Brain still gleeping after road safety strategy planning day. Little things like speed cameras aren't put in as a revenue earner, they are put in so that you travel a few km per hour less so when you hit something you are less likely to die or kill someone's grandmother. Little things like that...

At a lull in book reading: anything people wish to recommend?

Rain may have stopped so may be time to get on with unloading.

Edit: Ok, so it was just a small lull as I could no longer hear the rain on the roof, but car now has laundry and some other stuff unloaded. Rest will be fine til the weekend when much of it will be reused. Laundry on and dishes done.

*Ok, so we got home from the event on Sun, unloaded the perishables and haven't gotten anywhere since...
