Why does the sanitary product disposal unit in the ladies toilets on my floor at work smell of cinnamon? It is bad enough with the automatic sensor so your hands don't touch it, but CINNAMON!!?!

Same reason (I'm guessing) as the blue liquid they always use to demonstrate the absorbent properties of those same products. (Unless they're marketing it at Nigella, who I suspect has blue blood...)

There are some over on this side of the pond but not many. Think I've encountered about 3 so far and mainly in the cbd. You make like a magician and wave a hand over the top and the lid goes up. Wait a sec and it eerily descends. That's when I wait for it to start going all Chuckie, with the lid opening again and 'feeeed me' issuing from the depths. Nice if you don't want to touch the thing though. Haven't had a whiff of cinnamon yet.
