I foresee some tidying in the future...

Not luckily the "(mutter mutter) rental inspection shortly" type, but more the "(my) parents are coming over to visit in just over 2 weeks and I am sure they would appreciate a vaguely clear chair/surface to sit on" type. It is not so much dirty as there is project debris strewn across the lounge floor. The kitchen and bathroom floors are however dirty. Dustbunnies in the far corner of the bathroom shouldn't growl or shudder when you put the bath mat on the floor. But we were planning to sweep and mop this weekend anyway.

If anyone has one spare, we may need to borrow a queen sized mattress of some sort - have the rest of the bedding and the viking bed (in pieces in the sunroom), but no spare mattress.

Just finished some wool washing - why wash wool you may ask. Well (sotto voice - new project...). I know I said I wouldn't but... Viking caftan for me, wool lined with wool for extra warmth. The old one is starting to get a little ragged (charcoal stained) and was always a little tight around the arm pits.

Also unpicked some (tussa?) silk lying around and will make a silk lined wool coif. Not so much for daywear at events but for sleeping in. Warm head good and straight wool does itch a little.

So, what am I procrastinating (ie the already started projects I am avoiding)?
1) chess board. Just needs some form of backing sewn on and it is done.
2) handkerchief. Just needs to be cut out and hemmed.
3) floral blackwork fill patterns (not urgent and scaled wrong so still debating whether to continue).
4) Chemise with blackworked seams. Old project I got bored with. And the basic chemise pattern is dodgy anyway. And I have nothing to go with it. But what has been done does look good.
5) blue moleskin doublet. Couple more hooks and eyes and the decorative cording. Either need to make cord or buy... In any case should make (more) wearable, then decide. Will probably need some trousers to go with it, but have been working on that lot at the rate of an item per year, so no hurry there.
6) black velvet Sture doublet. Technically I haven't started that since all the work up to date has been Zs. Later.
7) Trichnopoly (viking "knitted" chain) for Z. Only probably needs a couple more cm, then drawing.

I wont comment on what percentage of these are currently scattered over the lounge floor... So, finishing them would be tidying?

We have a queen sized air bed matress you can borrow. Firm, comfy, and takes both of us without so much as a hint of protest. With the two of us heavyweights squeezing air out of it, it needs top up inflation on about day 3; normal people I think it needs it on day 4 or 5 (this isn't "oh my god my hip hit the floor" inflation, this is "hmm, I sat on the nice firm matress and it squished a little" inflation")

I have a box bellows that should do the job.

Sounds really useful, however, do you need it for InterCollege War, as Mum and Dad arrive at the start of that...
