Sigh. So it looks like my ebook reader has given up the ghost :(
Mini USB connection fails to work, even with the magic rubber band, so can't charge it. And you can't read with no power. Grrrr.
Trying to decided what to do about it. I have enjoyed having effectively a stack of books easily available in my handbag at any time. I liked the model (BeBook Mini) for the size and the fact that the controls were on the left. It had been picked for ease of handling many formats, but calibre takes care of that in any case. However the battery life was a bit shonky - not certain if I did a bad job charging initially, and the mini USB connection just slowly got worse. Unclear if it was just my one or an issue with the model.
So, should I get another (e-ink) ebook reader? I have an iPad and can read on that, but it is more than twice the size so doesn't fit in my handbag, chews through the power faster and just isn't as convenient. Also, not doing the regular train travel, less excuse for an ebook reader, especially an additional device.
Choices, choices...
