Mar. 9th, 2009 10:36 pmI am sure there were all sorts of witty things that I was going to post about over the weekend, but I ended up being too busy doing things to post about them...
Fri: Lepricauns, mushrooms and cheese. Nuff said.
Sat: Tidying in the morning and early afternoon (hence the previous slightly grumbly post). Archery 2-4pm. Did hit the target occasionally, but it about matched my rate of bow slap to the elbow. There is a very big bruise (about my palm wide) with reds and purples and greens and... Pity it was the last of the season. Then there was indian curry and a trip to see Watchmen. I was worried it would be a bit too Sin Cityish, but was pleasantly surprised as I didn't need to switch my brain off nearly as much as I expected. Naked smurf on steroids though...
Sun: Slept in and then walkies all over Belmont Regional Park. Much up and down, and need to do that more often. Thud for a while, then very nice dinner in good company. Early night.
Mon: It was nice and clear and sunny heading to the local station, but with a bit of cloud visible to the south. Light drizzle at the central station and by the time I go out of the supermarket with stuff for lunch later, it was pissing down. In evening helped out with College A&S class on clothing. Think it would be a good idea to have a website with links or even just a pdf handout with a fashion through the ages with links to the good replicas/outfits people have dine to give newcomers an idea of the range of stuff out there. We have plenty of books, but they are heavy and good architype images would be useful.
The problem with showing people pictures of pretty clothing to make - you come out wanting to make all sorts of pretty clothing. Must finish the projects I have started already.
Mind you, I will come away from March Camp with a list of the practical garments that I really want to make and May Crown with a mix of the practical and the pretty clothing I want to make and the June Queen's Birthday A&S classes will just be dangerous...
Who, me, distractable?
Too late in the evening to get back to embroidery...
