It has not been the week for zips.
First the main zip on my pack finally gave up the ghost after a while of pseudo attempts. Luckily it had the side clips, so no alcohol made a break for freedom on the way back to the drinkies (Sat evening, much fun and good to see people). And the rain held off til we finished walking back too*.
Now the zip on the skirt I am wearing has died. At $2 (and slightly stained around the hem) it is no great loss, but it would jam with the zip bit at the top and the bit below gaping. And a fitted waist. There may need to be scissors. I suspect Z may be happy to volunteer to help...
* Whereas it poured down on me between Lambton Quay and the station today , but not on the earlier section as I left work. There were swirling wind gusts and bands of downpour and I quite like the bits of the station trip which have the covered areas. The train was divided into those who had been early enough to miss the rain... and those who hadn't. The latter were further divided into those who had reasonable wet weather gear and those who didn't...
