A Weekend.
Jun. 15th, 2008 07:22 pmUsual gaming Fri evening. Made it before 7pm, which shocked a few people.
Sat: Slept in. Shopping - small oil column heater for the computer room (which can possibly be used in the lounge given we are out of firewood...). Also another clothes drying rack and some buckets. Groceries and failed to get silk*. 14kg of honey and a kg of dutch cocoa from Moore Wilson - they were out of the smaller ones. Then blobbed for the evening after a very nice roast mutton dinner.
alpha_angel wombled over bored and we watched Ice Age and The Scorpion King and made silly comment. Drinking every time the Rock raises his eyebrows wouldn't work as a drinking game - he only does it about 3-4 times all up. Warm sunny day though.
Sun: Another warm sunny day, so we threw open windows and door and read in a patch of sunlight and sheepskins on the balcony and had the occasional nap:). Not a productive day, but a very nice relaxing one. Time for stewed apples and not quite right custard. And a verdict as to what to do now Top Gear isn't on...
* If anyone knows where to get the basic black Gutterman sewing silk (embroidery thread is too thick) in the Wellington region... The craft place in Porirua mall was a bust, though the lady was nice and mentioned Evans (in the Hutt valley) as a possibility. Didn't bother with Spotlight. Will probably try Shaherezade in the next few days. Have about 1 and a half lines of stitching to go and the piece is finished and I have about one more arm length of thread to go. Ironically I have a full 2 spools of the red silk....
