Oct. 2nd, 2007 01:01 amLast night Z was the one up til 3am* finishing his book. I only have 50 pages to go (only half an hour), but given it is Robert Holdstock, may leave some digestion time.
Accomplishments for today have been deviled sausages for dinner, chocolate cake (no choc chips unfortunately so not the best that recipe is capable of), and making a wheat bag**.
Time for painkillers**** and sleep given the time of evening and the fact the footnotes are longer than the post.
*-ish - an estimate as I was asleep by then...
** Well, to be more exact a grain filled bag which when zapped in the microwave for a few minutes, radiates nicely for the next half hour(ish) and works better than a cat (the warmth and purring are good, but the claws are bad and you really shouldn't microwave them...) on your lap for ignoring period pain for that time. The web recommendations*** suggested cotton and wheat or split corn or even cherry pitts, so I ended up with wool and white rice. The rice seems to cool down faster than the wheat one I left in Aussie, but still works reasonably.
*** Taking the usual approach of google and then average within reason.
**** I definitely agree with
alpha_angel's comment of "better living through superior pharmacology".
