(From last night really)
2nd hood is now finished. Should really get on with the rest but it is nice not to have greasy fingers.
Star Gate SG1 last night was a serious pisstake. Especially liked the Thunderbirds and Farscape versions.
(Now onto today.)
Nope, not much to report. Lounge floor has been vaguely cleared in preparation for putting together sewing class stuff (mainly cause I like working on the floor with a sea of notes surrounding me). Want to get my lot ready and out of the way before Z gets home. Then we can tidy the tent talk in the evening and he can collapse safely - txt messages from Burra at 7:30am...
Want minimum preparation tomorrow morning so we can leave by 9am as I start talking at 10am. Not certain there will be an audience at 10am, but there you go. Maybe there needs to be free coffee or chocolate...
So why did I spend part of the night/morning dreaming about getting ready for giving an A&S class (in garb), but not being able to find the garb (the undertunic mainly), then the notes, then just general delays... including getting ice cream. Fairly miserable sized ice cream cone too. There were escalators involved as well. Curious.
Time to track down the pouch pieces.

So while I am looking up stuff (and muttering why everyone posts extant fabric thread counts and not stitch lengths/types etc*), found someone doing a nice collection of 14-15th C clothing. First shown is a very nice version and discussion of the Moy gown.

*Yes, I know seams seem to be least likely to survive in fabric fragments, especially if sewn with linen... And exceptions are found in some places like Woven into the Earth and Textiles and Clothing etc. Need more primary sources with photos, damn it. Most of the Viking/early period stuff I have found has been embroidery rather than construction. Just me grumping...
