And if you had wandered past in the gloriously still and dusky evening, enjoying the calm and still, you would have had the serenity smashed by me swearing loudly in the front yard and kicking the lawn mower multiple times. 2nd bit of lawn is over half done but I decided to quit when I was swearing more than the average sewing machine session. I'll get back to it tomorrow and swear some more.

It occasionally pays to check the spam in amongst the real info from the bank. It got me 0.15% pa extra on two term investment accounts which were up for renewal. Only 3 months this time as need to start consolidating them before the end of the year.

Whatever was saved was promptly gobbled up by me discovering the local discount remainder bookshop had a bunch of Tania Huff "Blood ..." on sale. Yay to books 4 and 5 (though may have read this one in NZ - I forget) for $7 each. They also had books 1 and 2 (which I already have), but alas not book 3.

It has been several months since I bought a book. How did that happen?

It is depressing to think that in the 3 years that a house deposit has been assembled/saved, the median price of houses has gone up by at least that amount...

Devilled sausages are in the oven with potatoes boiling on the stove. Should be nice tonight and even nicer tomorrow night.

1 less person in the bed requires 1 more blanket/wool cloak on the bed. May even dig out the hot water bottle.

Farscape and lucet weaving cord tonight I think.
