Shire Books, more specifically, their Archeology section. Already have Siege Mines and Underground Warfare, Roman Crafts and Industries and Textiles in Archeology.
Ones to look out for:
Viking Age Archaeology in Britain and Ireland by Richard Hall (Shire Book apparently out of print)
The Archaeology of Rabbit Warrens (Shire books - apparently they get confused with Roman or prehistoric stuff...)
Ancient Boats and Ships by Seán McGrail (Shire Books - NW European boats up to 1500)
Roman Artillery by Alan Wilkins (Shire books)

Other books to keep an eye out for (some from recommendation on the bone, antler and horn discussion list) are:

Mastermyr books ($18 plus postage from Norm Larson books)
Viking Artefacts: A select Catalogue (apparently out of print and rare - 800 copies world wide)
Sutton Hoo Ship Burial: Arms, Armour and Regalia (also very rare)
Die Lederfunde von Haithabu (Haithabu 21: the Leather Finds from Viking Hedeby)
Pfeil und Bogen zur Merowingerzeit. Eine Quellenkunde und Rekonstruktion des frühmittelalterlichen Bogenschießens. (Gebundene Ausgabe) von Holger Riesch (Merovingean archery...)

Wombled down to Gaganis Bros (imported food wholesaler, only 30 min walk away). Nice place. I was good and resisted the large bags of foot long cinnamon quills ($7!!!) and other large bags of spices (have enough at present), and the nuts and dried fruit and concentrated on drinks. German cocoa powder (for good hot chocolate), Indonesian instant ginger tea (just about to try it) and Turkish Apple Tea :) - same brand as NZ (Lezzo) but 750g in a box instead of 700g in a tin (though I will empty the tin and transfer the box over when ready).

Happy now:) Time to go back to sewing.

Canberra's National Museum currently has an exhibition of Egyptian artifacts from the Louvre's collection. Will be there for the next 3 months. I would be miffed, but apparently it will be in Adelaide next, then Perth.

Definitely want to go see that (even if I have seen some of it before)...

After watching a very good documentary on SBS (The Choice, and after an interesting conversation on the way between Adelaide and Canberra), a question arose...

How different would society be if 50% of conceptions resulted in the male becoming pregnant (assuming the correct biology for this to be possible)?

How would it change your actions/reactions?

A couple slightly different drinking games:
The contempory romance drinking game
The Regency Historical Drinking game
And for those who didn't see it the first time, The Sharpe Drinking game

And I am out of trashy (or even vaguely decent) bodice rippers to read... Sigh...
