Murphy's law...
Jan. 10th, 2006 12:57 pmIt's currently 32 degrees outside (due to get up to 34 with 16 overnight) with only a slight breeze stirring the trees outside my office. This means that inside my office at my desk, I have a jacket on from the air-conditioning wind chill, but my brain is working just fine (Tracked down the TX Del orbital issues and corrected the data in the appendicies of the article. Also happily running the varying C/N abundances while keeping the number density the same). This is going fairly well (fingers crossed against jinxing).
However... (yes, there is a however), I have to head home at 3pm due to an early bus run this week (lack of money for overtime and other fuss, mutter mutter mutter). Ordinarily I would be ecstatic over skiving off early but home will be stinking hot with no wind/breeze/moving air. This is less than pleasant. That and due to the bus schdule wonders of Canberra (3:05pm then 3:45pm and 3:55pm), I get to spend the hottest part of the day waiting for the bus.
Hmph.
But for the next hour and 50 minutes I will sit back, eat lunch, poke programs and enjoy the air conditioning.
Edit: and it feels really wierd to put your hand against warm window glass...
I think time to dig out the sorbet recipies when I get home...
