Aug. 22nd, 2005 09:50 am3 days in a row with rain... in Canberra - what has happened? Nice rainbows and sunshine in between.
What was expected to be a busy frantic weekend, has turned out rather relaxing.
Feast on Sat went well - though possibly one less dish for the 2nd course would have been good. Headed over to the hall around 3pm, found it had good rafters and set about creating aisles of banners. Combining the AAF and Baronial Banners worked very well, though they had to be carefully segrigated onto different rafters. And High table was situated against a very nice backdrop of the Bayeaux Tapestry by the AAF. Post revel/drinkies meant I headed home early (11pm) to check for early stragglers, while the cleanup crew turned up at little after midnight after some slight alarm issues.
Sunday was Z's birthday and a lazy day:) Went to dinner in the evening with a group of Scadians + assorted hangers on. Was good.
Last day of work before NZ and KWW. Looking farward to this.
Parrots parrots parrots parrots...:) Fluffed up rosella staring at me from the window frame.
And after pouring rain on the way in - Z walked in and got soggy along with the kangaroos, it is now completely clear and sunny out.
So what is the forecast for the next week in Canterbury?
And is it better to get a digital camera in Aussie, NZ, duty-free Aussie, Duty-free NZ?
