Mental note to self:
Stop, relax, calm down. The world is not out to get you, nor is it trying to agrivate you at every step. There are some things that just aren't worth niggling over. Enjoy the sunshine, laugh at the cockatoo attempting to balance on your window, make the most of snuggling up possibilities:)

It was -3.8 degrees at 7:30am this morning.

Jared Diamond's (author of Guns, Germs and Steel and Collapse amongst others) talk last night was, well, uninspiring. All very generalised, somewhat obvious and nothing you wouldn't have gotten from reading the book. I realise that some detail needed to be sacrificed in a 50 min talk but still... Very PC. Should get around to finishing Guns, Germs and Steel some time though. Was a completely packed out lecture theatre and more. Curiously they let people overflow onto the floors and steps - something that REALLY wouldn't have allowed at Canterbury. And they didn't try and pipe the sound or a video of the talk through to an adjoining lecture theatre - they could have easily filled another one I suspect. Silly unorganised people.

And now back to the game of "How bright is this star?" Wonder what I win at the end of it?
