Went and saw Kingdom of Heaven last night. Was well made (physically very impressive and not jarringly unmedievaloid) and well researched (some of the stuff was even based on accounts of the time [EDIT: well, more from a Time-Life history version]) but a little lacking on the interesting storyline and dialogue side. Sorry, Orlando Bloom is just boring... The bastards on all sides was a little underplayed on one side, but still good. But you just weren't grabbed by it...

Bloody differences between vacuum wavelength and air wavelength... and as for IDL... Bah humbug.
Snottified brain cells not coping well with this so it is off to photometry land. Really nice set of observations atm - amazing seeing leading to nice clear crisp stars.
