Weekend and memes maybe...
Feb. 28th, 2005 01:00 pm11:15am Ok - this is being done by installments. Whenever I finish recallibrating a spectrum, I get 5 min of break to work on this. On marks, get set, go!
11:40am Ok, HV 2576 done but noticed that HV 11303 has issues... Play with later.
So, over the weekend...
Sat: Road trip to Sydney and LOTR exhibit with R&M and R&P. Was worth seeing again, though a bit more cramped than Wellington. Late lunch in a Chinatown food court was good - very large plates for $7-9 each. Then wandered around Paddy's Market before driving back. Interesting navigational theory. If lost (well, ok so knew where we were on the map but were having map edge and scale issues) follow the signs to the airport, on the theory that the airport will have motorway signs directing you out of Sydney and in the Canberra direction. Worked too.
5 min up, Time for HV 12149.
11:50am. Ok - no observations in that filter for that star... Hmph. IRAS 04509 then.
12:07pm. IRAS 04509 done. 1 to go!
Sun: Mild sleep in (need more damn it), Trash and Treasure, Aussie Junk (nothing there), Recycled timber place for tent beams - more sucess:) At least now know the car can transport the tent poles (3 x 4.8m long and 6 x 3.6m long, which will be trimmed down a little). Yay rood rack. Z likes the looting potential of the roof rack:) Late lunch again. Tent layout on driveway and lawn because can't fit 7.5 x 4.5 m on the floor in the house. Measurement and marking but no more progress than that:(. Nice diagrams done and worked out exact dimensions etc. Belconnon market for groceries. TV, dinner and blobbing. Good but disturbing movie on SBS: No mans land. Very funny then very not and definitely worth seeing. Sister Wendy at 10:30pm on a Sunday is just too distracting, though I think it was more the Metropolitan Museum. I could get lost for a week there happily. Especially the Cloisters.
Ok, back to star issues.
All seven done now. Will tweak graphs later. Lunch now.
Hmmm, less than 4 weeks of Festival prep time left.... AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH especially wrt tent as the sewing on that is supposed to be finished by next weekend to give time for Z to get woodwork done. Roof done... Now needs sod cloth redone (miscalc on measurements and fabric additions and don't want joining seam on roof), doors, rope edge reinforcing, hems. Some hems can be fudged later but.... Eyelets. Though that is at least a BIG huntsman-killing-sized needle job which Z will probably be doing...
There was also a pair of trousers being worked on (cuff and belt loops) and possibly another tunic (maaaay be). And finishing the tunic from last Festival... (opps)
Ok, so it is lunch and hand sewing... and bus and hand sewing... and TV and hand sewing... Not sleep and hand sewing though. Pity.
PS Missed the ANU KAOS waterfight in the Amphitheatre:( Good day for it too...
PPS The dreaming about tent sewing is just a little disturbing.
