Apr. 6th, 2006 09:49 amLast night there was a teeny tiny spider in the corner of the bathroom. This morning there was a Bathroom Bob... and no little spider. Munch munch. This would be fine except Bathroom wall Bob decided to become Bathtub Bob in the middle of my shower. Usually they don't reveal the teleportation technology when someone is in the room. It may not have been a voluntary jump though, as he didn't move for a while and was last seen drunkenly staggering around the plughole. Possibly Concussed Bathtub Bob. Bags not removing the corpse...
Festival stuff progress:
5 cloaks now sewn - 4 washed, including 1 dyed (one of last night's projects), however, since the dying made it an interesting shade of khaki rather than blue (ie got rid of the yellow tones but that was it), the return for time and money spent seems not worth it for retail purposes. Spending 5 times as much as you spent on the wool for the dye isn't worth it, especially if you have to add on an extra $8 for dye removal. Time and money better spent elsewhere.
Leather satchel has been blocked out and dried and looks good. Now only needs d-rings and a handle (tablet weaving already done) attached.
Tent 1 had 4 loops attached for wall pegging down. Just 2 to go. Definitely involves a harpoon sized needle and cord rather than thread. Fingers not so keen on that.
Tent 2 had the ridgepole ties attached. Then it went out onto the balcony to air a bit more before the linseed oil fumes asphyxiated us. Fingers crossed a week worth of airing will work.
Z's hose still need refitting - too much fabric behind the knees, but can't quite be arsed working on that at present. Later...
Contemplating another undertunic. Possibly someone should stop me now, but it will probably an ongoing at Festival project.
No essential hand sewing projects for working on while getting abundances for NGC 1866#4. Might naalbind then.
Cassanova tonight. I am looking forward to scenic historical popcorn with corsets...
