ramble ramble ramble
Sep. 20th, 2004 10:18 am3 dead wombats, 2 flat rabbits and an echidna by the side of the road... sigh... At least I have seen more live kangaroos than dead ones.
Interesting weekend. Things of note:
One person's definition of a medieval wedding can be very different from anothers.
At one and the same time one part of the brain is drooling over a particular frock while another is cringing at the shear lack of medieval authenticity... and another just wants to loot the fabric.
McDonalds visit quota (1) filled for the year.
Nice medieval book collection in a second hand book shop in Bungendore - we sort of cleaned them out of most of it though...
Caine toad change purses are ...disturbing... especially the waving front legs. Bit expensive at $25 though...
Wombats are big and barrel-shaped. Most other animals (including Kangaroos) flatten at the side of the road, but not the wombats.
Unhappy car... very unhappy tree ... tree probably thought it was safe up a 1/2 - 1 m bank... nuff said...
Mum and Dad driving in from Sydney today. The bit inbetween should be fine but the ends may prove a little more interesting. They have PhDs, can follow instructions, and maps... they should be fine (fingers crossed).
