Weekend...

stellar_muddleRelaxing weekend (I think)...
Fri night, went and saw Sin City. It was good; I am not certain I liked it but it was very good and I would definitely recommend seeing it.
Sat: Ventured to Spotlight in Queyanbeyan. Hmmm. They have "revamped". Fabric section is now about 1/3 of what it once was. Found the light weight cotton I wanted for $5 a metre (good) but the black lace selection was abysmal. Ended up getting the victorian style "eyelet" (still haven't found a good definition of what exactly it is) in white... and some black dye. Went home and had fun washing and dying. Only problem was that the cotton content was low, and in the machine stitched tread bits, nonexistent (bloody polyester). It is a rather cool white on grey effect, but it ain't black. Oh well, still looks cool with wine red ribbon:) Evening of B5 and Z distracted by Rage (Joy Division etc).
Sun: Trash and Treasure and YMCA - boots and Alpaca wool found. Then an investigation of how to get from our place to Civic on foot. Over a saddle near Black Mountain took 1 hour 20 min. Means leaving the house at ~6:30am if I want to do it, but plausible for Z and doable on the way home when the light gets better later.
Z is currently at the SCA Fluffy Duck Tavern, and I am deciding between more B5 or Sherlock Holmes on TV.
A curious note: Carob is quite good as hot chocolate substitute.
