Jun. 24th, 2008 07:23 pmI think they might have been having some train issues...
My usual train was twice as long, not at the usual platform and completely packed. And there were a lot of loitering confused people.
I think we managed to get into Takapu Road around 6:05pm (I'd normally be walking in the door at home by then) and had to creep very slowly across the roads with no signal lights or barriers working to avoid squishing cars. Turned out they were needing to walk ahead and change the points manually at each station. Decided to get out at Tawa and walk (having finished my book). I beat the train to Linden by about 30 seconds. At least the rain wasn't too heavy and the southerly was a good tail wind. Kinda fun :)
Dr Who time now.
